Volleyball Skills Matrix
Intermediate
2-4 Years Experience
These clinics are perfect for players who have played and competed before! To join, players should be able to consistently overhand serve and pass free balls to the setter with 80% proficiency. Setters need to be able to set to the pins, and attackers should have solid transition and approach footwork, consistently getting balls in play from both pins.
What you'll learn: Players will discover how to spot and place serves, with a goal of starting jump serving throughout the clinic series. You’ll continue to develop your passing footwork, angles, and ball reading skills, as well as explore different types of sets. Athletes will enhance their pin hitting, learn to attack from the middle, and develop various offensive shots. Join us for some fun and growth on the court!
Advanced
4+ Years Experience
Welcome to our advanced clinics! These sessions are perfect for players with club experience at a "13-1s" national level and above. You should be able to consistently place serves and serve/receive at a 2 or better. For setters, it’s important to deliver hittable balls to the pins and middles, set quality back row attacks, and execute targeted plays.
Here's what you'll learn: We’ll focus on executing with consistency while boosting your volleyball IQ. We’ll have a blast working on jump floats and tops serves to specific spots, attacking from the back row, making setter and player dumps, blocking, setting blocks, and honing back row defense.
