Spring 2025 | Lil' Flurries 1st-5th Graders
Our Lil' Flurries training program is the perfect starting point for young athletes aged 6 to 10 to dive into the exciting world of volleyball! For kids aged 9 or 10 with previous volleyball experience, they also have the option to join our 9-10u Prep Program. But if your child is new to the game, we recommend starting with Lil' Flurries for a season or two to build a solid foundation before jumping into the prep program.
To make sure every player gets the best experience, we divide the program into two groups based on age: 6 to 8-year-olds and 9 to 10-year-olds. Group sizes will depend on the number of participants, ensuring a supportive and fun environment for all.
For our beginner athletes, Lil’ Flurries is all about learning the basics while having a blast! With a 1:6 coach-to-player ratio, every child receives personalized attention as they develop key skills, grow their confidence, and fall in love with the game.
Here's what your child can look forward to each week:
Week 1: Setting & Attacking – Learn to set up the perfect play and hit with power!
Week 2: Serving – Master both overhand and underhand techniques.
Week 3: Passing & Serve/Receive – Focus on consistency and control.
Week 4: Defense & Positioning – Get ready for teamwork as we form teams!
Once teams are assigned, the fun really kicks into high gear! For the final three weeks, athletes train exclusively with their teams:
Week 5: Offense, Defense, and Positioning – Build team synergy with focused training.
Week 6: Round-Robin “Mini” Tournament – Wrap up the season with some friendly competition and show off all those new skills!
Lil' Flurries is more than just a training program—it’s a chance for young athletes to grow, learn, and have a ton of fun along the way.

Program Format:
7.5 hours of group training and play
(Wednesdays, 6:00–7:15 PM)
Athletes will participate in weekly training sessions followed by match play or scrimmages. Some sessions will emphasize extended training with shorter play periods, while others will prioritize longer match play after a brief training segment. This flexible structure allows athletes to immediately apply newly learned skills during game scenarios. It also gives us the opportunity to focus on individual development, honing fundamental techniques, and deepening their understanding of the game—all within a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Coaching Team:
All sessions will be led by Coach Chris!
Known for his vibrant energy and dynamic coaching style, Coach Chris is dedicated to inspiring and developing young athletes. He will be joined weekly by current and former high school players, with occasional support from other experienced club coaches to ensure a well-rounded, high-quality training experience.
